World Cup 2022: Brazil, Argentina, France… The dates for the announcement of the official lists

On November 20, the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will officially begin. Two weeks before the launch, some selections have already published their list for the event. Others like France, Spain and Brazil will do so in the coming days.

Expected for several years, the 2022 World Cup is very close to seeing the light of day. From November 20, the France team will put its title of world champion back into play. During the group stages in Qatar, 32 selections will compete to take this step. To achieve this, the selectors will have to establish a list which for some countries will be devoid of some executives.

France without its executives

November 9, Didier Deschamps will thus announce his list which can range from 23 to 26 players. Four days before this deadline, the French coach must rack his brains since the executives present during the success in 2018 are not available. Injured, N’Golo Kanté and Paul Pogba are already forfeited.

Absent since September 13, Lucas Hernandez, so important on the left side in Russia, recently made his return to the Bayern Munich squad this Saturday. But his coach Julian Nagelsmann has already announced that he will not be able to start against Hertha Berlin. To see if the defender can take his place in Qatar.

Germany without Werner, announcements already made

The French are not the only ones to have to rack their brains. On the side of Germany, Hans Flick already knows that he will not be able to call the November 10, his striker Timo Werner. A big blow, especially as the latter returned to form with Leipzig (4 goals in 9 Bundesliga games). To also watch the state of health of Manuel Neuer which is still uncertain.

Luis Enrique’s Spain will make their announcement on November 11th, but David de Gea absent from the pre-list is already assured of not making the trip to Qatar. For Gareth Southgate’s England, it will be the November 10, as do Portugal and Belgium. On the South American side, Tite will make his announcement for Brazil on November 7as for Argentina, it will be the 14.

Some selections have already announced their list for the World Cup. Especially Costa Rica which can count on executives like Keylor Navas and Joel Campbell. Japan has also published its list where known names from Ligue 1 appear as: Hiroki Sakai, Junya Ito and Takumi Minamino.
