“Sagunto has always been an open city and, particularly, a city open to business”evolving in recent decades to adapt to the times to become today “an economically competitive, cutting-edge city that looks to the future with a clear plan, with a clear mission”, as highlighted by the mayor.

In relation to the arrival of Volkswagen, the mayor has pointed out that “To have reached this success story, there has been a lot of work behind it on the part of the local, regional and state administrations, which have always worked as one”.

“We have been clear about the roadmap to follow, we have assessed the aspects in which we had opportunities or already had some established strengths and we have tried to exploit them to the maximum”added the mayor, who highlighted the Saggas regasification plant as part of the advantages of the municipality, whom he thanked for the confidence shown in Sagunto long before Volkswagen’s announcement and who also “place” to the city like “A key infrastructure in Spain and Europe today”.
