Brazil: chasing the sixth world title

Brazil, Qatar 2022 mission

In just 2 days the long-awaited world championships will begin Qatar and the Brazil she is certainly one of the contenders for the title, if not the very favorite given the squad and the history of the selecao.

Brazil is in fact the national team that holds the record for world cup wins: 5 (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, 2002). The green-gold national team, founded in 1914, has seen in the course of its history the succession of many champions such as: Pelé, Garrincha, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, Cafù, Ronaldo; which are just some of the many stars that the Brazil national team has had throughout its history. In addition to them, we also remember, for example, great champions who played in our championship such as Sócrates, who played for Fiorentina and played two world championships as a protagonist but did not win even one; and then there’s Zico, who from ’83 to ’85 played for Udinese, bewitching everyone with his superfine right foot. After 20 years in which Brazil has not won a world title, the last time in 2002 with Ronaldo as protagonist who will also win the Ballon d’Or, this seems like the right time, even after the disappointment due to the defeat in the final of Copa America against Argentina, Brazil is looking for revenge and revenge. The Brazilian national team, coached by Tite, will be able to rely on many champions for Qatar 2022.

These are Tite’s squad:

Goalkeepers: Alisson (Liverpool), Ederson (Manchester City), Weverton (Palmeiras)

Defenders: Alex Sandro (Juventus), Alex Telles (Sevilla), Bremer (Juventus), Dani Alves (Pumas), Danilo (Juventus), Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain), Militao (Real Militao), Thiago Silva (Chelsea)

Midfielder: Bruno Guimares (Newcastle), Casemiro (Manchester United), Everton Ribeiro (Flamengo), Fabinho (Liverpool), Fred (Manchester United), Paquetá (West Ham)

Forwards: Antony (Manchester United), Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal), Martinelli (Arsenal), Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain), Pedro (Flamengo), Raphinha (Barcelona), Richarlison (Tottenham), Rodrygo (Real Madrid), Vinicius ( Real Madrid)

Among all these names, those of pure talent obviously stand out Neymar, who grew up in the ghettos of San Paolo with the ball glued to his feet, who has already scored 15 goals and 12 assists in all competitions this season; and that of his spectacular teammate Vinicius Junior, fresh from a Champions League won as a protagonist.

However, names like those of Lucas should not be underestimated Paquetá, well known by AC Milan fans, who this year scored 3 assists in his new experience in England, but who, as we know, performs much better in the national team; in fact, in just 35 appearances for the selecao, he scored 7 goals and 1 assist. Furthermore, the call of Dani Alves certainly causes a sensation, who after the interlude at Barcelona moved to Pumas this season; the 39-year-old player will perhaps find little playing time but he will certainly be fundamental and of primary importance for the locker room and to give his teammates a winning mentality. In short the Brazil he really has all the credentials to get to the bottom of this world championship and, why not, even to win it.
